Originally by: Moloc They knew about the MAD Pact, and were listening in to its last meeting which we thought had attacking us on the agenda, we were abit dissapointed when it didn't come up. Anyway, the point of order is whether prior to beginning all this, if we knew IO was part of the MAD pact. Quite obviously CI just had a fight with Pure. for an outpost in the drone regions, and the big bad Mad Pact did nothing, so ....
Umm, you have any idea why CI was not helped by MAD-pact? Maybe, just maybe, because CI was never a member of MAD-pact and thus not afforded any protection?

A bit premature my friend, they don't have anything to be congratulated on yet. So far they have been stonewalled. ------------------------------------------------ Murphy's Golden Rule: Whoever has the gold, makes the rules.

Whatever tbh, we're not the only ones with badly fitted ships.
Of course, there will also be people with badly fitted ships. But it takes a year minimum to train for dreads, and the ship costs 1.5 billion. Nobody would laugh at you for a ghetto-fitting on a rifter, I personally have flown Eris with 125mm autocannons on it, but when you come to ships like dreads or carriers, stuff changes.

Originally by: Peoke so as of right now the cap ship losses are coming pretty even. losing 4 carriers and your fleet not even defending a gate. at least our losses were with a point.
You are right, just another 2 carriers and a dread required and you will have caught up
So just to be clear, you are now about, what, 30+ billion isk in ships down (assuming the BS were all fully insured o/w its a lot higher as about 200 have been popped to date) and (mainly due to some bad decisions by us overnight) you have just managed to get yourself back into pretty much the same position you were in when this started last Thursday with 2 POS in the system?
That's what I call progress. gz.
Yup. Good isn't it? Let's face it, any alliance without a decent war with large fleetbattles will turn lazy, and it's members get sloppy, and end up like drunks (IAC ).
But this really is a training in willpower ahnd determination. You set a goal and accomplish it, even though the beginning looks bleak, persist and you will triumph. For an alliance not defending it's own sov RK does remarkably well in this field. They don't haveto sign ip to save our existance as a 0.0 alliance, Smaskill/atlas pilots sign up for fun. If the unthinkable happened and smashkill lost, all they'd lose was time and a few billion isk. Not a region. Defenders will fight tooth and nail to defend their region. Attackers generally get bored easy and leave for easier targets, not fighting 8 alliances.
So Smashkill cannot persist, all they'dlose is a few billion isk (OK, a lot of isk)? But gained a lot of experiance. If MAD loses, they'll lose a tiny alliance and a few isk here and there (losses being spread over many alliances).
In the end everyone wins. I hear ppl are having a blast and that's what counts. Oh, and i can't imagine suriviving my night-watch (00:00-12:00) if i didn't have battlereports and killboards to read to kill the time.
Right, because there is absolutely no chance that MAD are ever gonna go on the offensive. Nope, you're right. No chance whatsoever .

Yes, because this is actually his main and not the alt of an FC who kicked your ass in two big fleet battles and is on about 50 BS kills and at least 4 of the capital kills we got on you in the past week. ------------------------------------------------ Murphy's Golden Rule: Whoever has the gold, makes the rules.

Before DT, the guns at 7-1 were stuck at the same resists on hull that they have when the tower was still there. After DT that bug seems to have been cleared (someone tested it on my request).

Smashkill took control over the station and has POS majority I think, but now it seems XXDeath got involved as well.
